What is the better boat? MacGregor 26M or Hison 26

Looks that way. Its not a new idea. They have been doing it for years with everything else! I remember listening to a report on CBC about how fast things get copied. Shoes take about 2 days! Then they flood the market with exact copies down to the paper stuffed into the box!
One thing was noted on the radio program. Sometimes the copies are better quality than the original! (I'm not saying that in this case.)
I sent Roger and Mike a email giving them a heads up.

About 35 years ago I worked at the Long Beach, Ca boat show with the dealer from Marina Del Rey, CA. (AKA The Merchant of Venice) I can't remember the name of the company, but two guys who had worked for Roger had a "new" boat for sail which was the spitting image of the Mac 25. I think Roger put a stop to that. This on the other had is a different situation. Hison, for all appearances, is a chinese company and they are probably building the them for a fractiion of the cost. Something like this could get wrapped up in court for decades.

there's nothing any court can do about it.It is the model for chinese industry and manufacturing.China's courts defend and side with the chinese company always.just ask honda,ibm,3m or any large corp.

If we (that is the collective capital W we) had any stones, we would simply not let these boats into our country. This represent something that is illegal by our laws. So enforce our laws (at least in our own borders) It really shouldn't be that complicated. Hopefully Roger's congressman and/or senator will help.

Roger can legally seek an injunction preventing them from coming in. Yeah, Good Luck. My grand daughter asked what foreign language she should take in high scholl. I told her chinese.

Your right about that and that should include Canada. I always try to buy North American, but you can't. Whats next chinese made Hunters, Beneteaus. At the rate things are going we will be the third world country. And that may not be too long away. I tried to buy a Canadian flag for my boat made in Canada or the US and all are made in China. Only lasts 3 months. Cheap crap. Now thier buying up our oil industry. You can bet that we will not be able to use our own oil soon. I better stop now. I'm getting angry.

It's kinda hard to do trade sanctions, and ban imports from a country that is essentially financing our entire economy and paying for our wars.we have to kiss their a*s if we want to continue living our current lifestye.

A few years back my kids were taking Karate at a local school and I had to sew American flag patches on their uniforms....

You guessed it. The patches had a "made in china" sticker on the back.

Our Contractor=Campaign Cash Cow, er I mean Military/Industrial Complex is using the possibilty of war with China to justify the next 2 or 3 generations of warships and aircraft.
If it were to actually come about that we went to war with China, think they'll lend us the money to do so?

Nah. Never happen. China would just refuse to make and ship our warships to us and it would be over before it started.:D
