Assuming the tag came off the hose, why don't you call Schramm and ask them? They are a company that specializes in drilling wells of various sorts.

The "LGAS" on the tag might mean some sort of liquid natural gas hose, but who knows? Googling the part number got me nowhere.

It looks like one of those sprinkler hoses that has a lot of holes in it. It is probably not a gas hose as it has basic water hose fittings on it.

Connect it to a faucet and see what happens?

Garden hose.

The internal wire is to add rigidity to prevent kinking.

If it looks like a garden hose and it works as a garden hose , it is a garden hose. The length and connectors are a giveaway.

Do you have a hose attachment on your boat to feed water off dock? Maybe that thingy inside hose is a pressure regulator.

I will call Schramm on Monday but just came across this late Friday. I did look at the website then but I don't think they would make consumer products. The internal wire seems very thick just to prevent kinking and the hose is very stiff. If unwound it would be impossible to rewind. I will post any information from Schramm as I get it.

In spite of them not wanting it to kink, it does in fact have a few kinks.
Here is a WAG: Maybe it is for solar heating on a roof? The whole thing gets laid out, and the wire helps maintain temperature by heating up and staying warm overnight?
Where did you get it? That might provide a clue.

Probably a squeeze operated valve for end of hose to use when filling a tank inside the boat .

Maybe a vent hose. The fitting at thr other end of the hose looks strange to me.

These watering/soaking hoses are designed to be linked together. The cap at the end stops the water from running out the end of the hose.

Here is the response from Schramm that I got this AM.

Thank you for the inquiry. To the best of my knowledge, what you have there is the Schramm Aquapuss. It was a patented design a few decades ago. What you would do is put this in the water around your boat and connect it to an air compressor to blow air through it. There are probably small holes down the length of the hose. These holes would allow the air to seep through, and the idea was it would keep the water around your boat from freezing in the winter by keeping the water agitated. We haven’t made those in quite a while!
Hope that helps.
Thanks!

So, a heavy duty repurposed sprinkler hose. I'm guessing it was one of those "better ideas" that just wasn't better.

Using a compressor with "COLD" air would seem to me to have a very low range of "helping" keep ice away.

A bubbler pulls "warmer" water from below to the surface to keep things from freezing so quickly.

Further information from Schramm.

I double checked with one of our seasoned veterans here, it may or may not have been the Aquapuss, but it was definitely a Schramm de-icer as described below. The Aquapuss was similar but was used primarily for sewage treatment.

Sorry for the confusion.
