What is an LMPHRF handicap certificate?

And how do I get one? Apparently I need one for an upcoming regatta. Any ideas on how one might get one for our Vega, and what information is needed?

I am not sure what a LMphrf is, but I am getting a phrf certificate. I am getting one from Rocky Mountain Sail: SAIL – Sailing Association of Intermountain Lakes

I would guess that you can contact local yacht clubs in your area and they can tell you who to contact for you specific area. PHRF ratings vary depending on local conditions. -Tim

We just got our ratings this morning. Our base rating with a 147% genoa is 243. The adjusted ratings are 264 non spinnaker and 252 spinnaker. I think they adjusted the ratings higher because of the very light and swirling air we have on the lake. The high elevation (5750') probably doesn't help with air density either.

We did our first race today. It was typical very light to non existent wind, the max boat speed was 1.8 knots. We came in last, but was still a lot of fun.. -Tim
