What do you do when the tide swings 8.5 meter (28 feet)?

These photos show what happens in Tenby, Wales, UK harbor, my new home for the next 3+ years. I guess I better moor my sailboat outside the harbor.

The marinas in the Thames River in London have locks to keep the boats afloat during low tide. Talk about having to sail around the tides time table.
