We archive threads when they've had no activity for a week. That particular thread had nothing going on except some attempts to keep it 'bumped' into the active forums. It's available through the archive search and will be crawled there by search engines. ph.

Not related to this case: But me thinks this a bit of an annoying feature of this otherwise wonderful site. Why do you have to "archive" stuff? Having to search archives separately is a bit inconvenient. Cat

Yeah, I have to agree

We'll have that worked out in '07 but for now it's the best we can do.

My Thread

All, The original post was mine, and I want to thank Phil for this forum to express the issue. Phil does have a point in that the thread was being bumped into activity. It is still available in the archive and has been picked up in other internet forums, so my intent (to save potential customers of TCS the same experience I had) has been achieved. I still welcome TCS to respond directly to the questions I posed, come clean with the public, and undo the damage they have done to themselves IN THIS FORUM. I have no proof of this; but I suspect they'd rather spend the money on an attorney to threaten this Forum, and have local satisfied customers complain about the thread, rather than simply refund the money for the "non-conforming goods" they sold to me, and still have in their posession. I will, as promised, post the eventual outcome of this situation on this forum. Until then, I intend to abide by the Forum's policies and decisions. Thanks to all for your support. Tim

I just ran a couple of search engines...

...and the TCS thread never showed in any of them.

If not now, they will be indexed

Google, if nothing else, crawls the 'browse' menu of the archives.
