Funny you should ask

I saw an old Morgan today and was wondering the same thing. Maybe he found that the free boat isnt all that free. Tony B

Yea, How about it Captain Patrick?

Have you finished those rub rails yet? What else is new on your ship? Man that thing could really benefit from a boat babe's touch, any luck?

Haven't heard...

I think if he was

knee deep in projects, we would be hearing from him in the form of questions. He was talking about how broke he was, if that is true, then he dont have much money for projects. Projects on a 32 or 33 foot boat are vastly different from projects on a 25 foot boat both in knowledge required as well as money required. Tony B

Unfortunately, with the last conversation we had here,

It sounded like Patrick gave up wife and home for the free boat. I hope the best for his future that it is one that reflects people as much more valuable than a boat. Patrick, hope you are still tuning in! r.w.landau

it worked, so some more

i Did'nt give up wife and home to move on my free boat. Still have house and new girlfriend. I need a motor between 25 and 50 hp. Need to seal topsides from rain intruision, then glass hull/deck joint, lay floor grid and new flooring, then bulkheads and cabinetry. Not too bad, have it all in my head just need to free up the time to get back at it. have spent around $300 so far on glass/resin/gelcoat. Not bad yet but have'nt started buying wood yet. I will keep you all posted of progress when i start having some. Patrick

Patrick...

it is not just you. Every now and then it dumps what I have been typing... so I usually keep it short. If it is a long post... try typing in word... copy... and paste into forum. If it crashes... you can post again at a click of a mouse. Glad you are still around.

Glad to hear from you...

...Patrick...and glad you are not giving it up buddy. Two days after I got my boat down here from Michigan I met what turned out to be my wife! So I know what you mean about the time! Jack

hello Patrick Keep at it.

We only ask because we care. Get that Babe on the bow, a motor on the stern and then put that ship in the wind!

Did you ever find that wood I told you about? I can understand the girl friend part. I can see how a guy gets confused. Trying to balance work, a boat then throwing a female into the equation, makes it all the more difficult. Darn women tend to mess up the best laid plans. Keep in touch and get going on those lists. You must enter a fun factor in there somewhere. Sailing being one of them. You don't need no stinkin motor. Keep it up, Ctskip

THANKS

I had a divorce about 8 yrs ago, met a girl a month after and stayed together for 7 yrs. Broke up 3mo ago and met a new girl 6 wks ago. Acting like a kid again, going out alot, up till wee hours (not sleeping). Taking her boating(stink boat) motorcycling, etc. Going to Eric Clapton this sat at ford amphitheater. Spending the night.... I have good feelings about the free boat, not idle dreams that will never get acted upon. Getting more comfortable in new relationship so i can spend more time on projects. Garage is chuck full of sailboat stuff, sails, old teak/mahogany, salvageble stuff from inside...can't hardly walk in there. Need to spend 2 days cleanning and organizing. think she could be talked into helping. You all forgot the kids. 23, 17, 14 boys. The 14 yo has help a bit, but i don't want them to breath resin and destroy lungs. ctskip, i havent gotten any wood, just am not ready. Can't afford the room to stockpile any more boat stuff. Thanks for the encouragement. I will keep you all posted. Patrick
