What compass will fit my '84 H31?

It's time to replace my compass. What compass is a direct and suitable replacement? Thanks.

I replaced mine with a Ritchie 4-1/2” binnacle mount. Bought from WM. Ritchie number is DNP200

If I may suggest to you to go electronic at this point. Fluxgate + display or just a display if you have the autopilot. It is more accurate, consumes very little power, it can be repeated anywhere and you can mount the display in the old compass space.

Think that I would prefer to have a traditional compass in the event there was a total loss of power. If you have an auto pilot & display, you’ve already got an electronic compass that you can use for more accuracy.

I believe the Hunter 31 and 34 had the same Merriman pedestal with a Danforth Corsair compass. A number of years ago, I was able to find exactly the same Danforth Corsair as the original.
