What are those holes for?

Just bought a 1994 26 foot Hunter sailboat and noticed on the port side of the cockpit near the swim ladder. Does anyone know what these would be for?

A picture is worth a thousand words. If you don't have one, could you be a bit more specific? How many holes and what size? Can you narrow down the location a bit further?

Welcome to the forum.
I have a 1995 Hunter 26 at Riding Mountain National Park.
My boat has been converted from a tiller to a wheel. There is a bracket bolted by the step on the port side to hold the steering cable, that is the only thing I can think of.

i have one of thoes .. takeing a guess if you have a outboard moter then its for fule line battery and shifter .. at least thats what the hole on the back of my 25 hunter is for
