What are the metal posts in this picture?

I have been trying to figure out what the metal posts are in this picture next to the cam cleat. i am thinking they were possilbly for a boom vang, but i hoping that maybe they were for a winch. (i would like to add winches for the halyards.)

there are no markings or brand names on them and they are on both sides of the hatch. anyone have an idea?

Looks like..

It looks like a base for an older stand up spring block.

Magma Grills also makes a deck fitting that looks similar though that would be a weird place for a BBQ..

What about some type of bed plate for a dodger. They are in about the correct location?
