While I'm diggin' the fat-top main, its going to be hard to sail without a mainsheet.
That is what happens when someone has an unused car-top cargo carrier, too much time on their hands and a hankering to go sailing!

while I really like the clean line, I am concerned with the 'new' clamp on deck.

I don't know if it will float, but I'll bet if it does there are several people on this board that could race it!
Those daggerboards are just begging for some foils.

For a few years, I chaired a $50 sailboat race. the materials had to be worth less than $50. This would be a contender in that race if the carrier were beat up enough.

Our annual Wichita River Festival used to host an antique bathtub race. Entrants could used varied human powered propulsion systems. The Wichita State Univ engineering team would win with their bicycle driven articulating paddle wheel.
The tub had to be so far in the water and could not be blocked in front. The real fun was the creative "float' themes people came up with.
