@Stu Jackson proved you can cross the bars of the OR/WA coast and not have to call the CG for help back in 2016. Some of them were even on the water

And sometimes you can't. The Thunderbird we (Dad) built in our basement ( sail#55) was lost there by the next owner.

Jackdaw, maybe you'll be able to start ice fishing soon! Maybe even ice boating! I'm hoping for fishable ice this winter in central Ohio. That doesn't happen often enough.

Sooner than we hope. While our slip was ice free yesterday, the inner slips at Maynards were starting to skim over.

Ruh roh. Time to stop. But is this was the last sail of the season on Minnetonka, so be it.

Jackdaw,
Looks great. Sometimes adding a little snow makes a nice fall sail more interesting.
Last day - Payette Lake before freeze. McCall ID

While it was 48F today, 16 tonight and everyone is expecting Wayzata Bay to freeze over. So that's that.

Huh, to digress a moment, I didn't appreciate she's a retractable keel, or maybe more accurately, a swing keel. So do you trailer her to other events? I notice that she's no lightweight! When do you find time to sail the 37?

Yes, designed by the same team, she shares the same basic lifting keel design that the Pogos now use. In the 260s case, 2.5 feet of draft up, 6.0 down. And yes, not super light. Not by any means. She’ll plane, but it takes 20 knots.
We thought about away regattas this year, but the logistics sadly didn’t work out. I’m out of the 367 program as of this year. That stopped working when Jodi and I found each other. I’m looking at a new big lake boat. Fast, planing, short handed boat.
