Whale gusher fresh water pump

I have a whale gusher mk 2 foot pump for fresh water in the kitchen, the seals where worned I purchased a new set of seals but I am unable to put the pump back together so it will pump again, any sugestions, apparantly these pumps are double action they pump while the pump is pushed downward and again when the foot lever comes back up, any input would be appreciated. Thanks John

Did you reassemble the check valves the right way around? Is the diaphragm secured to the plunger assembly? Are you trying to suck water uphill out of the tank with an air leak in the suction line?

When we had to rebuild out Whale Gusher Galley I and II pumps, we called the company and they emailed the exploded diagrams to me along with the current parts kit numbers.
