I sail on Lake Roosevelt behind Grand Coulee Dam. About 6 weeks ago they started dropping the water level to prepare for the mountian snows run-off. Our snow pack is 175% of normal so the lake was lowered 62 feet from full pool. 1228' above sea level was the lowest reached with 1290' above sea level being full. Our launch ramp is one of the longest on the lake and is useable down to 1234. In the past 5 days the level has risen 17 feet so the ramp works again. That's alot of water since the lake is 135 mile long. The "Krusty Krab" sailed today!!!!!! Life is good. Ray

other 12 wet water
In Oklahoma they have had just the opposite

To much water. I was on a lake Fort Gibson and the lake from Christmas time till now(still three feet over normal)has been up to 28 feet above normal. Then down to 15 feet , then back up to 25 feet, then down 10, then back up. Sea sawing like that in the matter of a week. Couldn't plan anything. We had all the boats that were on trailers stacked all around the club house. High ground. So tightly packed, we couldn't use any of the facilities (mast stepping apparatus). So I couldn't pull my boat, to move, so I could splash it in another lake here in the Dallas area. Talk about frustrating and withdrawal. It's up to the Army Corps, they control the levels of the lakes and rivers. With all the spring rain as of late . They didn't want any flooding down river, so they flood the smaller lakes and rivers up stream. Now the boat is out and I'm happy because we splashed yesterday. Thats another story, better left untold. Glad to hear you are wet now. Enjoy. It kinda makes one appreciate Mother Nature some. Keep it up, Ctskip

Wonder how the Lake Lanier folks are doing?

It won't stop raining around here lately. I hope they are getting enough, we're looking forward to a little more sun and warmth around here!
