Westerbeke engine

I recently purchased a 1980 27ft. Hunter with a Westerbeke diesel engine. It runs great but the previous owner did not have an engine manual. Don't know the model or horsepower. The engine placecard is missing and I cannot find any stamped info. Any suggestions on how to find out what model or horsepower Westerbeke is on board?

Usually a placard on the engine.

Joe: There is usually a placard on the engine that shows vital info about the model, HP etc. Look around and see if you can find it. It is normally on the block.
