Good Bye Service

I have said good bye to any reasonalble service a long time ago. Many times I have gone to WM and asked a question with few results. All the places that used to have the answers are gone. Now I get them answered on the internet, Crusing World and 48 North. If not I pay $80 per hour and after watching found I could've done a better job. The old time Chanderly is gone, replaced by cheep, you get what you pay for. I have got Nordstrom service at Boaters World, but wwe'll see how long that lasts.

As for service...well we are sailors and I guess

we must be self sufficient. As for answers, I think the actual West marine Catalogs have almost as many answers as you'll get from anyone. Its a wealth of knowledge on subjects, just read it and a lot of answers to issues are covered. Personally I think its almost as good as the "Bible" which is Calder's book "Boatowners Mechanical and Electrical Manual" . The West Marine catalog is kind of like a reduced content "cliff notes" (see link below).
