So tomorrow is the big West Marine 40% off bulk rope tomorrow. I plan to replace my jib sheets and my traveler sheets. Does anyone have a preference between New England Ropes and Samson? They are both the same price and the clerk at WM said that New England Ropes were better quality? I am not so sure, my boat came with all Samson lines. Any input is appreciated!

Reputations are built on yesterday's products, don't know which would be better today but both should be good and if the price is right either will do, is not like if we are rigging to cross the Atlantic.

I like Samson! The clerk says that because West Marine either owns NE Ropes or it's in the family at least.
