...I'll bet you get about 50/50 responses. I'm a chart/cruising guide junkie, so I have them both. If I only chose one, I believe I'd go with Lenfesty and standard charts. Check the attached link...it may be of some interest.
We have some of Claiborne Young's cruising guides and find them excellent. We even use them when exploring the coast by auto.I must admit I am not familiar with Lenfesty and do not have any of those cruising guides.I would go with regular charts or the BBA Chartkit if it covers your area of interest.I recently purchase a Claiborne chartbook and it is excellent quality and nice for use at home but with the hard cover does not lend itself to easy use on the boat.Wayne s/v Wind Drift h340
