To do a couple of projects. Mainly I was there to replace the battery in the Nicro Day & Night which had recently become the Nicro Day. While there I snapped a couple of photos for Rich and then noticed a good stiff breeze blowing in.. Screw the battery, I'm going sailing! I took a nice short but brisk sail with winds blowing and gusting between 15 and 30 out of the NW. I snapped this photo, while still on the hook clocking in at 28 knots. I sailed under genny only and had a wonderful sail. Spontaneity is the nice thing about being on a mooring as I can be under way in about one minute or less... The bay was smooth, flat and fast as the winds were off the land so even in 20+ there was less than 1 foot of chop.Does this happen to you too? You go to the boat to do a 5 minute project and the next thing you know the sails are up???
