Just cleaned, oiled and greased my jib wenches. Now I need to do the two on the cabin top. I procrastinated a few years more then I should have and they were very dry inside. Luckily all the parts were still in very good condition. Might mean I'm not sailing enough?

When is last time you did your's?

Dirty wenches are the worst, a well lubed wench is much better. However, you really need to use the correct wench lube not just any old lube will do, it must be wench rated.....:D;);););)

I would like to upgrade mine to a self tailing wench. That would be fun to watch while sailing.

Well done everyone!

If all the wench parts are in good condition it may mean you're sailing too much!

I just did mine the other night! And it doesn't really matter if I neglect it, I just make sure to use a long handle and lean into it for the best results.
