Wema wires--2 or 3?

I just bought the Acugage 4-tank moinitoring system to replace my nonfunctional Wema monitors (i.e., on the holding and fresh water tanks). In prior posts to this board and similar forums in the archives I learned that the Wema sending wire from the tank to the gauge has either 2 or 3 wires that run through a common sheath. Can anyone tell me which it actually is, 2 or 3? If it's 3, can you use those 3 for the 3 necessary in the Acugage system? If it's only 2 I'll have to run another wire which will, no doubt, be a challenge. Thanks in advance for any information.

Wires

Our acugage needs 3 wires per tank. But you can run a common ground to the panel for all the tanks. If you have 3 wires you can use them. Hope this helps a little Dennis Ferriello Snake River Electronics

Dennis, Thanks for the help, and I see from the archives that you have helped many others with your Acugage product. The reason I posted my question is because I live 3.5 hrs. driving time away from my boat, and I haven't had time to get to it recently to check how the old Wema sending wire is segmented. In the archives I've seen it reported as 2 AND as 3 separate wires in a single sheath. I just received my Acugage last week and I'm looking forward to installing it, but fretting over how difficult it will be especially if I have to run a new, 3rd wire. I sure hope the old Wema sending wire is split into 3 disparate wires for it will make life simpler this weekend when I attempt installation.

3rd wire

Like I said before. If you have 2 wires you will need to run 1 wire from tank to tank then to the panel. Good luck and I think you will be fine. Dennis
