"WELT CORD"??? Anyone know where to get it?

I have a 27 Catalina and i am refitting the interior. A "welt" strip lines the counter top edges where the counter top meets the fiberglass and a welt strip lines the bulk heads where it makes contact with the hull. Anyone know where to get the stuff?

There are several options. For small hard welts the spline for aluminum screen doors works very well for softer welting any cordage works. The finished welt is sewn from the fabric used for the rest of the project.

any upholstery (car, home or boat) shop should have some generic stuff or can make it up for you...or as Ross says, any desired diameter cordage or vinyl can be sewn in to the material with correct length tab to attach it.
