SS welding

Last year I used a motorcycle welding shop to repair my pulpit and was very satisfied. They have SS tube and equipment to bend and form the pulpit as you require. I would take the pulpit off and move it to their shop, rather than have them come to you. Good luck.

Remove Pulpit or Disconnect Electrics

As Paul says "I would take the pulpit off and move it to their shop, rather than have them come to you" Otherwise (if welding in situ) DISCONNECT ALL ELECTRICS & ELECTRONICS prior to striking an arc!!! Gord

Gord, good point, and you reminded me.

I had the stern pulpit repaired in Grenada. We were having so much trouble just getting the boat secure near Spice Island Marina, that we never thought of it. It wasn't bonded anyway. :)

The only way to get a weld that looks good is to have it Heli-Arced. Any good weld shop in your area should be able to set you up. Bryon Thomas "Shore Leave"
