Hy. How much does the Albin Vega 27 weight? Need to know as I am about
to buy one and would like to know if I can trailer it or not. Thanks
for your help.

According to the literature, 5070 lbs. Theoretically trailerable, I
trailered mine about 75 miles to get her back to the shop to work on
off season. Some have pulled theirs cross country thousands of miles.
Its not like a ski boat you can pull out to the lake for the day.

Or 4 tons if you're living on your Vega and have a lot of water and other STUFF. oops!
she still sails beautifully though.

Living aboard definitely tends to put the pounds on. I've been
concerned about the weight on Lealea. We are planning a cruise next
summer and she's been, little by little, getting lower in the
water. The scuppers are almost touching the surface (I'm sure Joop
would be appalled!). I'm planning to take her over to the loading
dock (By the dumpster) to unload everything we don't need. Also, we
will haul out in the spring and get rid of a couple of hundred pounds
of accumulated bottom paint before putting on two new coats of Trinidad Blue.
