I make my living as an artist. I make kinetic sculpture very much influenced by my sailing addiction so I thought I'd post a couple of videos of some sailing related work.
Nice work Danny. I especially liked the 3rd MEDIA 177597168. Have you ever had any of your work displayed on the east coast?

Danny,
That your work is magnificent. I've been interested in kinetic art since seeing my first example. Your work is awesome and I'd love to see more. Do you have a Web site? I just had a birthday and I am getting a welder. I am fascinated by Rube Goldberg machines. I dug and installed a couple of ponds and built waterfalls, always thought water power would be fun to work with, old fashion water clocks, etc.
Would it be rude to ask what you would charge for a piece like the ones you show?

Thanks guys! Yes, I do have a website - www.dannysaathoff.com
sailnoproblem, I have had my work shown all over the country but I don't have anything on the east coast at the moment.
Will, not rude at all to ask. The pieces in the videos range from $3500 to $4500.
I'm currently working on a sculptural installation that deals with ice on Lake Superior and the effects of climate change on the Great Lakes. I built a boat over the summer that is also part of that sculpture. Here's a link to that boat - https://www.facebook.com/danny.saathoff/videos/vb.1440011428/10214727907058198/?type=3

Danny, that boat is fantastic!
I just looked at your website - You have some amazing and very original art. Beautiful, creative, whimsical.

Thanks, Danny,
Your talent is wonderful. Great Website. Jewelry and sculpture, fantastic. I have been an artist all my life, but I am just now trying to make my living as one. If I can claim half your talent I know I will manage to make it. My boat is my inspiration. It looks like you take yours from a similar place.
If you ever have a show in the Northeast, I would be grateful if you posted the event so I could try to see your work in person.
