You gotta see this!
You have probably seen all the attention and the national news about the flooding we have here. They have let so much water out of the lake to compensate for the flooding, and anticipation of further rains, that my boat is now under the dock.

The original post picture (May 27) is at the normal level. Today's pic was taken about an hour ago.
(*i turned on the depth finder and it's still 12' deep so no worries there. )

I took the afternoon off to decompress by the pool today. I'll put on some SRV "Texas Flood" for you Texans going through all this BS. It looks like the rain will end by tomorrow for you guys. Btw, what's that oil slick coming from?

Maybe throw an anchor out to port to pull you away from the dock, like mooring whips would?

I didn't notice the slick till you pointed it out. There is an enormous amount of trash in the lake at the moment that has been washed in from the flooding. Not much telling about where it came from.

I used dock shocks but a fairly cheep and easy to setup option that most of the boats here use is simply sliding a piece of pvc over the dock line at the bow and stern if you cant use whips. It will hold the boat away from the dock and it wont loose any of it's current strength since the current dock line is still there.
