Hey what's the weather like in Port Charlotte like these days.
Been raining like crazy here on Long Island,NY,we saw people building an Ark out on the east end while driving back from Montauk in Our Motor Home, really felt bad for all the campers in Tents, not much boating going on here either.
So what's up with the weather in SW Florida, coming home soon???????.
Kayaking and here when the sun shines ???????.

Just got back from Port Richey Nick. Went down to check on the boat. It was hot, hot, hot. And humid! Amazingly the interior was not as bad as I thought it might be with all that humidity. I have it all rigged for storm with heavy lines around the sail covers and the other canvas off. So there was no sailing. But the wind only blew when the little storms came through. I'll wait until November to sail her I guess. Fortunately I have a boat up here.

Lucky you having a boat to sail while away from Florida,I have had a chance to sail on a few friends boat while here but mostly having fun camping in my Motor home here on Long Island.
We have two Kayaks we have been using a lot and also biking here,I was planning more camping off Long Island but going back to Florida August 10 to leave for a 2 week trip to Alaska,1 week cruise and 1 week land .
I will plan a land trip across the USA with the Motor home maybe next June,July,August I hope.
I removed all canvas and sails before we left Florida and have some one checking on the boat while we are away,we get a chance to do other things be sides boating during the hot summer,I keep the motor home in NY for the summer.

Good thing this retirement, eh? Kayaks are high on my list but still have not decided on model and price. Alaska is a trip that I want to make, only state I have missed. My diver keeps me informed about the boat. Are you keeping your bottom clean? Ha, pretty personal I guess. In November or December I hope to do the Dry Tortugas and Key West. Are you game?

I am boat less in NY and great to hear from others, that's too easy to weather channel so much better to talk to real people and see what's really going on,same old news on the radio,I am camping and no boring TV,thank goodness for the internet, time to go for a nice bike ride OMG what the hell maybe stop for some home made ice cream too, great to be retired.
I don't know about NOV.and DEC,some one mentioned same trip in I think April.
I am looking forward to go sailing on my boat in Florida again after Alaska OMG.

on internet i use wunderground and passageweather.com--both are decent sites and give a reasonable picture of what is going on in the weather--for severe stuff i use stormpulse....

Rain

I guess I was trying to find out how much rain port charlotte has been getting and are the lawns green or brown.
But than I could just call my house sitter.
Really nice to touch base and hear from everyone

The usual

Standard Florida summer weather. Thunderstorms every afternoon.

Grass should be very green (if it hasn't drowned).
