We encountered heavy whether helm when we first sail "Procrastinator" and manage it as follows: Mast rake of 4-6", use smaller headsail, reef early and often (the time to ree is when you first think of it), and we also drop the travellor to spill wind off the leach. The boat is sensititve to these adjustments and will balance very well. Good luck.
