at the "Good Old Boat" booth N3 between 12-2 PM, and then over to the "SpinSheet" party at 5 PM booth F-7. In between, I'm gonna eat my heart out looking at all the new boats and gear....I love this stuff!

I won't get there till Saturday morning...giving a talk at the SSCA gathering at 11, followed by round table discussion over lunch there...then free to roam around the show to catch up with old friends, meet new ones...check out systems on new boats...make any "housecalls" if someone asks. I'm staying through Monday. So if anyone wants to connect, email me (I'm in all the owner directories) to swap cell #s.

Hey Jim: I'm feeling the Garmin 4212 at a good discount. West Marine has it for $2500 so I will use that as a reference. Be there Friday morning right after work, no sleep :-| Listened in on all that CH 14 chatter on Saturday with Joan dancing on the foredeck for that drunk guy. Pretty funny!

$2500 doesn't seem like a good benchmark price at all. Megagps.com has it for $2151 -- that's the number I'd start with as a reference.(I'm looking for a 4208 that beats a price of $1700).

Budget won't allow both. I'll make due one more season with my garmin 176c and next year look for something like the 545C or larger
