Stepping the Mast on a 25.5 doable with a gin Pole? Baseplate at base of mast is a piece of channel with 2 holes, was thinking of a crotch at stern to elevate and maybe be able to insert 1 pin then raise with a gin pole from winch on trailer using the jib halyard, possible ?

There is a mast lifting pole at LYCY. It’s in the yard right about where that photo of your boat was taken. You probably know this.

Yes Sir, we used that one to take the mast down, however where we are going does NOT have a hoist, Broken Bow Reservoir in Oklahoma. Mast is 29' 6", I have to come up with some rigging to make it happen, have you ever seen anything used on a 25.5. I have seen several on Catalina 25' and actually helped my son take his mast down with the boom used as the gin pole, worked pretty well!

Yes Sir, that is where she was on Canyon Lake near New Braunsfels Tx !
that brings back memories! We had our senior grad party there. Floated down the Guadalupe before it got commercialized. I know there's a sailing club there but I didn't know there was good wind in the canyon.

Lotta sail boats there in slips and that many more stored outta water on trailers at LCYC docks and they have a lot of races there, as a matter of fact one of the larger sailboats had some major damage to back starboard side where another sailboat slammed into 'er !
