We may be interested in purchasing another O'Day, hopefully a 280. I did not see any advertised for sale on the internet or locally in central NJ. Does anyone know of an O'Day 280 that needs a new owner that loves to sail? Do 280's have solid fiberglass hulls, or are they cored? If they are cored, are they cored with wood, or with some other material that would be less affected by water intrusion? respond to ODaySail@optonline.net

O'Day 280 wanted

Toledo Beach Yacht Sales in LaSalle MI had a 280 for sale for some time. I looked at it a couple of times but decided on an O'Day 26. The sales agent was Shawn Taylor. The email is tbys@toledobeachyachtsales.com. I don't see it on their web site anymore but it was on a couple of weeks ago. If you are interested, I can give you a pretty good description or it.

302

Anthony, I'm biased because I'm the proud owner of one. Take a look at the 302 before making your decision. Two more feet really opens up the cabin and they are good, solid boats.

Your 302 is an excellent boat, I can see how you would be happy with it. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks, Tom, for the reply

I also do not see a 280 on the website that you mentioned, Toledo Beach Yacht Sales. Thanks for keeping me in mind.

272?

Anthony: If you'd consider a 272LE, at a very reasonable price, email me. Mine was sailed for several years in Barnegat Bay (out of Forked River) and it's a great boat. Very little difference between it and the 280, as far as I know. Merry Christmas! Pete Little Silver, NJ

272LE vs. 280

I've only seen the 272 in person, not the 280, but my understanding is that they have the same hull, keel and rig. The interior liner is different, however, and the 280 has the head located aft across from the galley as seems to be common in modern boats. The 272 and 272LE have the more traditional layout with the head forward between the salon and V-berth.

looking

There is one boat that I thought of looking at. Needs some work. Price is nice. 272 for $5500.00 Tel contact in MA is 774-368-0550 days, and 508-771-3504 for evenings and weekends. They bought a larger boat. Good luck. Good Winds, Eric
