I have to say the site has really come alive the past few weeks - some great posts - and some negative stuff, too - but that has brought out the discussion. I am spending way to much time here lately. With the weather being so crappy up here in Olcott, I am chomping at the bit to get over to Trav'ler and get some work done. I guess this site has become my sailing substitue for now. Keep posting everyone, this is all I've got right now that keeps me sane waiting for winter to end.

higgs, This keep you sane? What can I say?

The phone stopped ringing this week so I am out of work for a few days. That will change. I posted the other day about new dock lines, I have the stern lines spliced, wormed, parceled and one is served with waxed #36 seine twine. Just three ends to go. I want to see if these resist chafe longer than bare rope. I will report in a couple of years. Or if the summer storm season comes to pass as predicted maybe a lot sooner.:(
