While waxing the topsides of my boat, I casually mentioned to the owner of the yard that I was going to wax the deck after launching. He strongly advised me not to wax the deck as it would make it too slippery. My deck has very good non-skid, and I have not had any trouble with wax making things slippery. Do you wax the deck? Only the places you don't stand? Just the cockpit? Looking for other opinions. Thanks.
