Ahoy all Sailors, What's the best method and products to restore that new Shiny Hull look on fiberglass. I witnessed a boat beings waxed this past summer and what a shine. Two guys with polishers etc did a great job but I missed out on finding outhow except they did a lot of Grunt work to achieve this and charged $700.00 to do it. WHAT IS THE METHOD AND PRODUCTS TO USE. Thanks in advance Barrie

Great Advice in Arcive

I faced the same question you are asking - Found "Acoustic 7/26/06 - Essential Tips for a great buff/wax" in Arcives. Followed his advice and my H26 looks like new. Mike T.

temperature range

Does anyone know what affect air temp has on cleaner wax and polish? I am thinking about waxing my hull while it is on the hard for a bottom paint. The best temp that I can hope for this time of year is 45-50 degrees. I guess I could tarp up a small area at a time and get some space heaters going but that would make a difficult job even more difficult.

Don't do it

Bob, I would not wax in anything under 60. I made that mistake last fall, and it was not a fun job trying to get all of the wax buffed out when the temp was in the hight 40's . If you wait, it will make for a much better and MUCH faster job. Dale

thanks paphman

I thought that might be the result. Now I'll have something to look forward to in the spring when the weather is better.
