I have a confession to make.

I am selling my boat and wanted to detail it, so I went and bought one of those Harbor Freight polishers. I meant to splurge and get the digital model for $59 but grabbed the wrong box and ended up with the $29 model instead. I bought so much stuff I didn't notice the difference at the register. When I unpacked it at the boat I didn't feel like going all the way back so I decided to use it and it did a great job. It also has a 10 amp motor (may be Chinese amps vs Japanese amps) but it did the job. I have a feeling that it should last at least 3-4 seasons.
As Roger pointed out it is less tiring than the orbital and much much faster. I also bought the velcro attachable bonnet from Harbor Freight and was pleased with that as well. Much easier that tying on a bonnet.
Its funny how your boat never looks as good as when you first buy it and when you go to sell it.
