Does anyone know where the waterline should be on a Hunter 30 1981? I just purchased a Hunter 30 and it would seem that the previous owner raised the waterline about 6-10 inches.
Since we just redid my bottom paint in March, I will measure from the top of the toe rail to the top of the bottom paint, which is a few inches above the actual water level, and let you know what that measurement is later this weekend, if that will help.
Could you measure at the bow stantion where the lifelines attach and at the stantion even with the companionway? Also let me know how you measured from where to where and if you measured vertically or following down the side of the hull? Thank you - I just bought this vessel and the waterline is way off.
I was always told that the waterline will vary depending on how much crap you have on board(I have enough to outfit two homes) and water content in the fiberglass----all of which contributes to weight. Need my bottom done next year
