Water, Water Where Is It?

During the final throughs of my commissioning my boat after renovating from the Nav Station fire when power was extended to the water pump I find that I get water coming out of the V Birth faucet but not from the head or galley faucets. I also hear a running water sound behind the starboard bulkhead near the nav station. I expect that during the fire the plastic pipe the water flows through was breached and the water is pouring out at that point into the bilge, I hope. My question: How do I proceed to replace the pipe? What type should I use, rigid or flexable? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finding the breach

With all the faucets shut off, turn on the master switch and see if the motor continues to run. If it does, then you'll know that the pressure switch is not shutting the motor off and that the water is running. But also remember that the hot water tank has to fill up first before the pump shuts off.

I would agree that your piping has probably

melted causing the leak. I would try disconnecting the line at the head and connecting it to a new replacement and try snakeing it through the existing channels. If the old line has not been completely severed, and the existing channel is straight, you may get lucky and be able to get it through. If that will not work you may have to reroute it through the cabinets, bulkheads, etc. I would try to get the semi-flexible type that you have now. I have been able to get this, as well as the connectors at home depot.
