I am having my boat worked on at a local boat yard. Bottom paint, fixing the bangs and dings. I of course didn't have anything to do with, they just appeared one day. I would like to drain the water from the tanks and bildge while the boat is in the yard. I can't find a release valve for the fresh water tank or the holding tank. and the bildge pump has done all it can and i still have water. Any sugestions???

not the holding tank!

don't use the wet vac on the holding tank! either get it pumped out or forget it! empty the fresh water with the regular 12 volt water pump and wet vac the bilge

Holding and water tanks don't have "release" valve

You can use either a wet vac or a manual bilge pump in both tanks..IF--you first repeatedly flood the holding tank with fresh water to rinse it out first. After you've pumped out the first time, you only need to fill it about 1/4 full each time before pumping out again...or you can stick a hose in the inspection port and continually flood while it's being pumped out. Once the water in the holding tank is clean, you can get the rest out easily. If you don't want to use a wet vac, use a big sponge and bucket to get the last quart or so out of the tanks and the bilge. Use a brand new sponge in your fresh water tank, however.
