Water Temp Gauge Inop - Catalina 310

Has anyone ever had their engine/water temp gauge stop working? Any thoughts on where to start?

The needle is sitting on the left side of the gauge and it doesn't move at anytime...including when power is applied and removed.

I will open up the instrument panel and check the wiring first when I get a chance on Thursday evening.

I have the 26 HP Universal motor.

Appreciate any help.

Make sure the wire is connected to the sender on the thermostat housing.

Mine vibrates off from time to time.
