I purchased an Oday 34 this year. When I drained the water tanks to winterize it, the most horrible smell I have ever in countered can out of the water tanks. Now all tanks, including the hot water tanks are completely empty. Does anyone know what I might put into the tanks to get rid of the odor before filling next season? Thank you, K. Seace

go to the archives and search on this subject, peggy has answered this question dozens of times. Standard procedure to prep your tanks is to drain them, fill them with a mixture of bleach and water, open faucets and run a bit then close all faucets and let sit for 4 hours or so to kill bacteria. Then drain tanks completely and fill and empty with clean water at least twice before finally filling. In your case I hope you don't have something dead in the tanks. Can you pull the fill tubes and see in them? Another possibility is if someone tried to use fresh water to flush the toilet you may have a cross contamination in which case you need to replumb the system so the water is completely isolated from the waste system. Peggy is the goddess of this subject, ask her. Dave
