I posted here a few days ago about water seepage under the V-Berth of my Hunter 335. Someone responded and indicated that the aluminum water tank may need replacement due to corrosion/leakage. Does anyone know if the water tank will pass thru the companionway doors in the Head/Vanity area after removing it from the V-Berth area? Will I have to saw the tank in half and replace it with a bladder tank?

don't know...

The size of the tank, but you should be able to remove the plywood that forms the V-berth, or cut larger access panels to get the tank out. I would go with a poly tank replacement, if it were me.

Water Tank

Don't know what year your 33.5 is, mine is a 94 model and it has a polyethylene water tank. I get some moisture under the drawers in front of the tank from condensation. I assume you have more of a leak. The tank is 16 inches deep inside so probably 17 inches overall, I would measure the doorway by the head to see if it would fit through sideways. I know the interior tank depth becuase I recently installed a water tank gauge and sending unit. Amazing how much water taking a shower uses!
