water tank questions

hey everyone, quick question regarding the water tank on my front 1975 grampian 26.
the boat has been on the hard for the last 3 years, so I suspect the water tank will be really funky next spring.
how do I deal with that? what do I do to clean it thoroughly ?
I want to change out all the hoses to the faucet to the tank and install an inline filter and change the head hoses as well.

just not sure on how to properly clean the tank, what product to use

If you have enough access, you can cut a hole in the top that can be capped with a 6 inch inspection port.

I drain mine each spring, flush with a heavy bleach/water mix, drain aagain, then refill using a very mild bleach mix. Mine are both flexible tanks

Not a bad idea, that way I could scrub the tank

prefer them to the fixed tank that was here before. For one thing, don't need a relief hose plumbed overboard, so cuts down on the holes in hull.. Of which on Tehani there are xero below waterline
