Water Tank on 1993 33.5

I posted this in a different category but wanted to perhaps get a larger viewing audience here.

I have a 1993 Hunter 33.5 and the 40 gallon fresh water tank is leaking. Since the season is just about over I thought this would be a good winter project. I have the factory drawing for the tank but other than it being made of plastic (?) there is not much information on it.

Two questions for the tribe. Does anyone know who the original manufacturer was? And, does anyone have any experience with replacing one on a 33.5 or similar sized boat? Of course there doesn't appear to be anyway to get it out without tearing out the vee berth.

I've read some boats use bladder for balast. Could you drain the tank and then add bladder bags for potable water? I"m thinking like placing a liner inside the tank without having to remove the v birth to get to it. Maybe have someone inspect your tank with a small camera.

I'd be interested in what users here come up with.

Ronco is the one of the tanks most often used, most have a model number molded into it to make identification easier. Hunter was kind of known for doing things differently so may have had their own tanks made under contract elsewhere.
