I have a 1989 33.5. My fresh water tank is leaking and I need to replace it. My plan is to carefully saw out the existing aluminum tank and replace it with a flexable tank. I due not want to disturb the orginal instillation of the forward "V" berth. Is this a good plan, or a bad one? Any comments would be great. Phil

Bladder ok for water, but

You'll lose a lot of capacity. Check Ronco Plastics (link below)...they have more than 400 shapes and sizes, over 100 of which are non-rectangular, including several "bow" shaped.

Don't care for rubber bladders.

Philip: I don't much are for rubber bladders. I had one in an older boat and then tend to have a rubber taste in the water. Also you will find that they will wear out after wear out after a while as the tank moves back and forth. Once you have your old tank out, why not just replace it with a poly tank. It will probably last as long as you will! <g>
