Just returned from a great cruise on Ky. Lake with another Hunter 26 (Paul and Linda Housman on Linda Belle). Grasshopper II has (had) the standard OEM faucets in the galley and head. Needless to say - just before the cruise they both failed (the plastic molded valve body failed where the smaller diameter plunger cavity intersects the larger diameter mounting flange). I attempted a fix using 3M 5200 and 4200 - I got limited success on one - complete and utter failure with the other. MEANWHILE - on Linda Belle, Paul and Linda are living in the wonderful world of a pressurized water system. They have a 20 to 30 gallon tank in the v-berth with a pump. It's piped to both the galley and the head. Worked great! Questions to the forum - a. Comments on the Hunter OEM Faucets? b. Comments on the benefits (or lack thereof) of a pressurized water system? c. Have any of you installed your own? d. How difficult was it? e. Where did you purchase your components - West Marine? Thanks All. Tom Grass Grasshopper II 94 H-26 #174

Hunter OEM Faucets

For what it's worth... HUNTER replaced some of our faucets at n/c, WITH DEFECTIVE faucets. We bought some HUNTER OEM faucets through our dealer. They were also defective!!! Speaks volumes about HUNTER's QA program!!! Paul J. Rusyniak 2001 h260

All that weight in the bow?

Any negative effects from having all the weight of the water tank in the bow?

Weight in the bow

The H260 has a standard 20 gl tank in the bow. it is level in the water. Somehow the designer made it work OK. My friends H26 has, I think a 5 gl tank and it also sets level.
