I have a leak of undetermined origin.......I knew the water tank leaked so I replaced and the fittings are tight....then when pressurized I determined the leak must be coming from the water line under the floor board (no access of course) so I ran a new line from the water tank to the fitting by the sink so I have nearly all new line...but then found an almost full bilge! Can the water tank itself be leaking and if so how do you inspect?:cussing:

you may have to open up the v birth storage compartment to inspect the tank and may have to remove it and repair or replace it we had a thread on this subject a while back and i am sure it is in the archives but cant tell you how to find it at this moment .....

Richard, did you replace the water tank? Your post isn't clear. The aluminum water and fuel tanks get old and are prone to leaking. Also, I suspect that my rudder stuffing box is letting water in when the seas are following. Food coloring in the water tank, tasting the water or testing it for conductivity will tell you if it is salt or fresh and using a dry wipe marker to track down source and direction may help.
