I'm completely new to the sailing world, just bought my Hunter 27 primarily to liveaboard and none of the sinks work. I was told they needed be replaced, did some research and discovered my boat is not equipped with a water pump. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as far as what kind would fit my boat. It is only needed for 2 sinks, one in the galley and one in the head.

I gather the pump is just missing as you indicate the boat has two sinks. There also should be a water tank built in to the underside of the v-berth. Now check that the hoses going from the tank to the fixtures arre there. What you need is a 12V pressure water pump. A 3.5 Amp pump will deliver 25-30 psi which will be more than enough. They come self priming and have a pressure switch to turn off power when the system is not in use. The price should be around $100. The pump should be located close to the tank and connected to the hose which attaches to the tank's outlet. You will need 12V power so you will need wiring going from the 12V electrical panel to the location. Make sure all the hoses and clamps are tight and that the fixtures do not leak and then proceed to sanitize the tank and hoses before use. Make also sure the water tank does not leak. The h27 does not have a shower but it is pretty to install one in the cockpit, for use in warm weather , by tapping into the water line going to the galley sink.

Thank you for your response. Yes there are just the water tank and hoses that connect to the faucets where a pump should be. I wanted to make sure that a pump is all I'd need for the water system.
