Water stain in teak

I didn't catch a deck leak until it started weeping thru a screw hole in teak trim inside the cabin. It's a 14' long piece of 2" solid teak about 1/2" thick, I sanded and it looked OK until it got damp from the fog last night. It's a dark spot the size of your thumb right at eye level, so the question is: keep sanding or try to bleach the spot or take my OCD meds and just varnish and call it "character"?

try some diluted Oxalic acid, sold as "wood bleach" . Dab the stuff on the stain. I used it in my furniture repair business for taking out stains and discolored places in furniture pre refinish. work slowly. good luck

Thanks Charlie, picked some up coming home from the boat today. When I got home the stain was dry and almost invisible, when the fog comes in tonight I think it will absorb moisture again and reappear.
