water pump plate

I have a yanmar single in my flicka, the problem is the plate to get at the intake impeller has 3 screws and one is behind the pully and next to impossible to get at. Does anyone know where to obtain a plate that is retained with knurled fasterners instead of tiny screws ?

This does not really resolve the problem, it just makes changing the impeller a little easier. The BEST way to r/r the impeller is to remove the pump from the engine and r/r the impeller. Re-position the belts and away you go.

The latest generation of Yanmar has "FINALLY" turned the pump around so you can access the pump from the front.
