water pump for a SB 12 yanmar

I have a yanmar water pump for a SB 12 and it needs replacing. Is there a off market one that is avalable or a place where you can buy a reconditioned one...thx

David You did not say what was the matter with your water pump. I had a problem with my YSM12 pump and replaced the impeller, and gasket from Torsen Marine. This was inexpensive for boat parts. I then received a tip from another sailer on this site. Replace the back cover or reverse install the original as the impeller wears a grove that loses the prime. Since I polished and installed the reverse side, I have not had a problem. Good luck.

Ian, That's a great idea. I hadn't thought of that. I've also lost my prime a couple of times and that may solve the problem. Thanks, Sean
