Hi,
I read the earlier thread on inlet repair..however I have a different problem. My muffler leaks from the base (where it attaches to the hull). Not too bad yet but definite seepage over time from this point. How is the muffler attached to the hull? Is it easily removed for repair? What is the recommended technique for getting a good muffler-to-hull seal?
Look forward to the usual wisdom coming from the forum.
Thanks

Stu's got it. Our '84 had four stainless screws in the corners, going into 3/4" plywood that appeared to be 5200'ed to the hull. I used West System G-Flex after sanding and cleaning with acetone. On wider cracks that I cleaned out, I added milled glass to the G-Flex as a thickening filler. From what I've read, G-Flex is tenacious where there's vibration or flexing.
